About the World Youth Day

The World Youth Day is the single largest gathering and expression of faith by Catholics in the world organized every 3 years. The World Youth Day event runs for 7 days and ends with the closing Mass celebrated by Pope Benedict XVI. The 2013 World Youth Day will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and is expected to receive 1,000,000 pilgrims.
